But no-one could predict that his departure would bring such impressive results. Monday was Arsène Wenger's 58th birthday. When asked what gift he would like to be given most by his players he replied - "To play better on Tuesday than they did against Bolton." Two of which we need to win in order to do this are Liverpool away and Manchester United at the Emirates. Let's hope this run of victories continues for the foreseeable future.
What better way for a Gunnerette to start a blog than with a fantastic victory against Slavia Prague?
After all the doom and gloom gossip from the 'wind-up' merchants following Thierry Henry's departure, it is now there for all to see and delight. The amazing form that this team is showing is almost too good to be true. Maybe Henry should have left before....?
And they didn't disappoint!
Arsenal are unbeaten so far this season, including twelve consecutive victories. This puts us on track to break a club record, as three more wins will give us our longest ever winning streak which was achieved back in 87/88.
Up The Gunners!
